Job Description

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts payable records.
  • Handle supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Prepare and process payment runs, including BACS and international payments.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, such as reconciliations and reporting.
  • Monitor and manage the accounts payable mailbox.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Support the accounting and finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Specialist should have:

  • Strong experience in accounts payable processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal departments effectively.
  • A qualification in accounting or finance would be advantageous.
