Job Description

  • Process and manage supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and process payment runs, including BACS and cheque payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions in the accounting system.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes as required.
  • Respond to supplier inquiries and resolve payment-related issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice or payment queries.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable should have:

  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role within the industrial and manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to commute to High Wycombe.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
