Job Description

Business Development Manager - Based in northern UK up to Aberdeenshire, this role involves regular UK travel (approx. 50%) to client sites and industry events.

Selling hip-to-ship (STS) transfers and premium-quality marine equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business goals and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Manage CRM and ERP tools to track pipelines and progress opportunities through all sales stages.
  • Conduct market research to identify prospects and emerging opportunities.
  • Present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to secure new business.
  • Represent the company at industry events, promoting products and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Development Manager should have:

  • Proven track record in strategic sales and business development.
  • Strong communication, networking, and negotiation skills.
  • Good hunter type track record and can come form any sales sector however will have to research and understand the companies offering.
  • Analytical and results-oriented approach with high attention to detail.
  • CRM proficiency and experience managing full sales cycles.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and customer-focused mindset.
  • Core BD skill set is the most important factor not industry served although it would be an advantage.
