Job Description

  • Source and purchase products that align with the company's needs and standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify purchasing opportunities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and stock levels.
  • Manage and resolve any supply chain or procurement issues that may arise.
  • Prepare reports and analyses on purchasing activities and performance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Buyer should have:

  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within the retail industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using procurement or inventory management software.
  • A results-driven approach with the ability to work under pressure.
