Job Description

  • Lead the organisation's legal strategy to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert legal advice to the C-Suite and other key stakeholders.
  • Oversee legal risk management and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate high-level contracts and agreements.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and financial regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure governance structures and policies meet legal standards.
  • Monitor and adapt to changes in legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to the business services industry.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the in-house legal team to achieve operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Chief Legal Officer should have:

  • Professional legal qualifications and membership of a recognised legal body.
  • Experience in the field of Crypto or Fintech.
  • Extensive experience in corporate and commercial law within the business services industry.
  • Proven expertise in regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead a legal team.
  • Experience in advising senior leadership in a C-Suite environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • A strategic mindset with a focus on aligning legal functions with business objectives.
