Job Description

The Commercial Solicitor will be:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial and technology contracts (licensing, SaaS, services, partnerships) for internal and external clients.
  • Advising on technology‑driven business initiatives and associated legal risk (data/privacy, IP, innovation) in a commercial context.
  • Working closely with business teams (commercial, product, tech) to provide pragmatic legal guidance that enables growth and mitigates risk.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of legal and governance frameworks for commercial operations.
  • Building strong relationships across the firm, becoming a trusted business partner and contributing to strategic matters.

The Successful Applicant

The Commercial Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with 4‑6 PQE, preferably with a strong commercial/technology law background.
  • Experienced in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and technology‑related agreements.
  • Commercially minded, able to articulate legal risk in business terms and drive solutions.
  • Adaptable, able to work with non‑legal stakeholders, influence decision‑making and engage at senior levels.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic legal team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
