Job Description

  • Prepare and analyse detailed costings to support financial decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Support the Accounting & Finance department in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Provide insights into cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial data and costing information.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure all costing processes adhere to public sector regulations and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal financial systems and processes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Costing Accountant should have:

  • A professional qualification or relevant background in Accounting & Finance.

  • Experience working in the public sector or a similar environment.

  • Knowledge of costing methods and financial reporting standards.
