The role of Finance Coordinator involves overseeing financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping within the architecture industry. This position is ideal for someone with 2+ years of experience in a transactional finance role, with extensive exposure to both AP & AR.

About Our Client

The company is a large, global architecture business with strong presence within a number of international markets. The business are currently managing a number of exciting new projects, and are looking to strengthen their finance team at the transactional finance level

Job Description

  • Process and accurately record daily financial transactions in accordance with company policies.
  • Contribute to month-end close activities, including preparing accruals, performing reconciliations, and coordinating follow-ups with management.
  • Manage the monthly UK payroll process in partnership with the external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy, timely submission, and readiness to take full ownership over payroll functions in the future.
  • Administer payroll for the Middle East team (6-10 employees), working closely with local accountants to ensure compliance with regional regulations.
  • Collaborate with external accountants as required by the CFO.
  • Support VAT and tax compliance activities, including preparation of submissions in line with UK regulations.
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation, including invoices, receipts, and payment records.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and provide relevant data for financial reporting needs.
  • Produce and maintain financial reports, performance statistics, and ad hoc analysis as requested.
  • Partner with the Finance team in Copenhagen to ensure consistent processes and standards across locations.
  • Contribute to the rollout and improvement of new financial processes and systems.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Coordinator should have:

  • Arabic speaking (Required)
  • 2+ years of experience working within a similar transactional finance role.
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience working within a similar industry (desirable).
  • Proficiency with financial software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
