Job Description

  • Manage and oversee financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements and budgets.
  • Support audit processes and liaise with internal and external auditors.
  • Monitor and manage financial controls and procedures.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of forecasts and financial planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant in Accounting & Finance should have:

  • A solid background in accounting and finance, preferably within the public sector.
  • A professional accountancy qualification, eg ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, etc
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • An ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
