Job Description

  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.
  • Support audit processes by providing accurate documentation and responses.
  • Provide financial guidance to internal stakeholders to aid decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and reconciliations.
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A recognised qualification in accounting or finance.
  • Must have experience in financial reporting and compliance within the education sector
  • Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
