Job Description

The Financial Accountant will have the following responsibilities;

  • Manage and oversee the capital expenditure accounting processes.
  • Prepare and reconcile capital expenditure reports.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Review and monitor project budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.
  • Provide support during audits and implement any necessary recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis as required.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A recognised qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Experience in capital expenditure or fixed asset accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • An understanding of financial reporting and compliance standards.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across teams in a retail environment.
