Job Description

The Financial Controller will have a wide range of duties including:

  • Manage and oversee all financial accounting operations, including the day to day finance, planning and reporting.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and forecasts to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Lead the budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Develop scalable systems, controls and processes within the finance team to support future growth.
  • Lead the implementation of a new financial accounting system.
  • Manage banking and investor relationships
  • Drive acquisitions - from evaluating opportunities, building models, and supporting negotiations, to leading diligence and integration.
  • Provide commercial insight and challenge to support decision-making across the business

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • A strong technical accounting background, ideally with a training in practice and an ACA qualification (or an equivalent qualification).
  • Proven expertise in financial management and a strong knowledge of accounting principles, processes and practices.
  • Experience with M&A would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
