Job Description

  • Monitor emerging markets fixed income instruments, including sovereign bonds, corporate debt, local currency instruments, and derivatives.
  • Analyse macroeconomic indicators, political risk, and liquidity conditions to identify trading opportunities.
  • Assist traders in pricing and executing trades in EM bonds, FX-linked instruments, and interest rate derivatives.
  • Prepare pre-trade analysis and post-trade reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support daily P&L reporting and performance attribution for EM portfolios.
  • Build and maintain valuation models and scenario analysis tools tailored to EM markets.
  • Use Bloomberg, Excel/VBA, and Python for analytics and automation.
  • Work closely with portfolio managers, operations, and risk teams to ensure smooth trade flow.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Fixed Income Trading Analyst should have:

  • Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Solid understanding of EM fixed income products, FX risk, and derivatives.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and programming (Python, VBA preferred).
