My client has a fantastic opportunity in their Group Finance Team based in the city of London. This is a challenging role, reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, in which you will be involved in financial reporting and consolidation, analysis, process formalisation, and external reviews.

Job Description

  • Prepare and consolidate financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with tax advisors as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and analysis.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to improve financial efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Group Accountant should have:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Proven experience in financial consolidation and reporting within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
