Job Description

This is a key role within the Group Finance function, supporting senior leadership with consolidated financial reporting and external disclosures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare Group statutory accounts under IFRS and support subsidiary accounts under FRS101
    • Coordinate external audit processes and liaise with auditors
    • Manage climate-related disclosures and risk registers
    • Prepare risk register reporting and market announcements
  • Projects & Controls:
    • Lead external financial controls audits and internal audit reporting
    • Drive improvements in internal control frameworks
    • Develop fraud risk processes and support insurance and acquisition accounting
  • Management Reporting & Forecasting:
    • Collate ESG and SECR data
    • Support budgeting, re-forecasting, and analyst consensus reporting
    • Enhance reporting processes for Board-level MI
  • Technical Centre of Excellence:
    • Provide technical accounting support across divisions
    • Draft accounting memos and maintain Group policies and procedures
  • Treasury & Tax:
    • Oversee cash flow forecasting and covenant compliance
    • Liaise with tax advisors and review tax computations and provisions



The Successful Applicant

  • A relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise in financial reporting.
  • IFRS knowledge
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused mindset
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
