Job Description

As the Head of Digital you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a close-knit team
  • Build a unified digital practice integrating all current and future channels.
  • Define a clear digital strategy outlining channel purpose, usage, and relevance for each audience at every engagement stage.
  • Guide and manage channel owners to stay ahead of trends and deliver best-in-class digital experiences.
  • Partner with IT to enable platforms for activation and performance tracking across websites, social, email, and apps.
  • Lead SEO strategy to optimize for evolving trends, including zero-click engagement and AI-driven search.
  • Establish briefing and planning processes for consistent, collaborative campaign delivery.
  • Develop a performance framework to capture, analyze, and report data across all channels for actionable insights.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Head of Digital will have the following:

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing cross-channel digital teams
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to coach, mentor and inspire
  • Low ego, collaborative leadership style that fosters trust and psychological safety
  • Strong grasp of SEO, including emerging trends like zero-click engagement and AI-driven search
  • Ability to create and implement best practice planning and execution frameworks
  • Highly data-savvy with experience in building and managing performance frameworks
  • Experience of creating internal briefing and planning processes to align teams and ensure consistent campaign delivery
  • Passion for innovation and staying ahead of digital trends and, based on strong data evidence, identify relevance and potential purpose within the wider channel mix.
