Job Description

  • Oversee and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support organisational goals.
  • Supervise and support the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the board and senior leadership team.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, stakeholders and financial institutions.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and investment activities effectively.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to guide decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Finance should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Schools experience!
  • Proven expertise in financial management within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
