This role is a hands-on opportunity to lead ER casework, guide managers, and strengthen day-to-day people practices. You'll partner closely with leadership while supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training needs. This role is hybrid, based in Crawley 3 days.

Job Description

  • Act as the first point of contact for all employee relations queries
  • Lead on complex and sensitive ER casework from start to resolution
  • Coach and guide managers on policy, process, and best practice
  • Support recruitment activity, including vetting and onboarding
  • Contribute to designing and delivering training sessions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and case records
  • Work closely with the People Manager to identify people-related risks
  • Support continuous improvement across HR processes
  • Assist with policy updates and compliance requirements
  • Provide day-to-day generalist HR advice to employees and managers

The Successful Applicant

A successful HR Advisor should have:

  • Strong experience managing complex ER cases end-to-end
  • Confident advising managers and influencing decision-making
  • Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practice
  • Able to remain calm and objective in sensitive situations
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing a varied workload
  • Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding
  • Comfortable delivering or contributing to training
  • Tech-savvy, with good HR systems and documentation skills
  • Proactive, solutions-driven, and keen to help shape a growing HR function
