Job Description

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting standards.
  • Monitor and manage financial performance to achieve organisational goals.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive cost efficiency and resource optimisation.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve their full potential.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Finance Director should have:

  • Proven expertise in financial leadership within the public sector/local government industries.
  • A strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in developing and executing financial strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a finance team effectively.
