Job Description

The Internal Audit Manager will be tasked with;

  • High-Risk Operational Audits - Plan, execute, and oversee audits in high-risk operational areas, ensuring findings are robust, actionable, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Other Audits - leading audits into other areas including the Service Centre's operations
  • Incident and Fraud Investigation - Lead or support investigations into operational incidents, fraud, or misconduct. Ensure thorough evidence gathering, documentation, and reporting.
  • Police Liaison - Act as the primary point of contact for police and other enforcement agencies during investigations. Ensure appropriate handling of sensitive information and compliance with legal protocols.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Internal Audit Manager should have:- Full clean UK driving license

- Keen to travel including overnight stays

- Proven experience in internal audit, in a lead or supervisory role.

- Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk management, and internal controls.

- Excellent communication, and report-writing skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

- High integrity and professional ethics.

- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

- Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.

- Excellent communication, analytical, and report writing skills.

- Ability to deliver training and engage with senior stakeholders.Desirable:

- Professional audit or accounting qualification (e.g., IIA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

- Experience in retail, distribution, or service centre environments.

- Familiarity with audit software and data analytics tools.

- Experience in fraud investigation and police liaison.

- Experience managing and developing audit professionals.
