Knowledge Lawyers are embedded within practice groups and play a central role in delivering client service. The team comprises over 25 dedicated legal experts and follows the same career structure as fee-earners, including partnership opportunities.Key responsibilities include:Shaping and delivering the knowledge strategy for the Private Wealth & Tax practice, in collaboration with other Knowledge Lawyers across the firm.Designing and delivering internal and client training programmes, including digital learning solutions.Drafting, maintaining, and updating key precedents, know-how, and client guides, including automated documents.Monitoring legal developments and providing horizon-scanning updates to lawyers and clients.Leveraging knowledge and technology to support business development, enhance client relationships, and improve service delivery.Producing client-facing content such as alerts, articles, and thought leadership pieces.Supporting business development initiatives in collaboration with the BD team and fee-earners.Managing internal knowledge platforms and repositories.Working with Risk & Compliance to implement best practices and support regulatory change.Responding to technical legal queries from fee-earners.Contributing to the wider Knowledge Lawyer community and firm initiatives.The Successful ApplicantSkills and ExperienceIdeally 10+ years PQE, either as an existing Knowledge Lawyer or a fee-earner with demonstrable experience in knowledge development.Deep expertise in tax law and private client matters.Strong interest in business development and knowledge commercialisation.Excellent drafting and communication skills.Highly organised with strong interpersonal skills.Collaborative and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.Comfortable with legal technology and new ways of working.Resilient, adaptable, and proactive.Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard legal tools.What's on OfferA strategic, high-impact role at the heart of a leading Private Wealth & Tax teamOpportunity to shape and deliver the knowledge strategy across a dynamic practiceCareer progression aligned with fee-earners, including potential for partnershipCollaborative, innovative working culture with strong support from senior leadershipAccess to cutting-edge legal tech and tools to drive efficiency and client valueInvolvement in thought leadership, training design, and business development initiativesFlexible working options and a commitment to diversity and inclusionOffices in key global financial centres with cross-border exposureThis is not a typical Knowledge Lawyer position, sitting at the strategic heart of the Private Wealth & Tax group, closely embedded with senior partners and actively shaping the group's direction, training and innovation.
