Job Description

  • Partner with fee-earning teams to boost profitability, improve working capital, and encourage best financial practices.
  • Lead monthly WIP reviews and ensure accurate billing forecasts.
  • Maintain matters, including closing dormant accounts, write-offs, and aged balances.
  • Reassign matters for leavers or inactive fee earners and improve data quality
  • Monitor timesheet completion and share insights to drive timely submissions.
  • Work with the wider finance team to develop KPIs that drive sustainable growth.
  • Support debt ledger management alongside fee earners and Credit Control.
  • Build strong relationships across the business and act as the go-to for financial queries.
  • Assess financial risks and opportunities, and contribute to shaping the Revenue Controller strategy.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Revenue Controller should have:

  • Experience in a similar finance role, ideally within the legal sector.
  • Strong business partnering skills with senior and non-financial colleagues.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident identifying areas of value leakage and implementing improvements.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
