Job Description

The key responsibilities of this Senior Finance Manager will be:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close, ensuring accuracy and strong controls.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, process documentation, and efficient use of accounting systems while driving process improvements.
  • Manage technical accounting areas such as leases, provisions, and impairment, and prepare statutory annual accounts.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and HQ to support compliance, finance requests, and business needs.
  • Prepare and file VAT, Intrastat, CIT, and other tax returns accurately and on time, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain tax codes, monitor legislative changes, and support transfer pricing and other compliance requirements.
  • Lead or assist with tax and statutory audits, including coordination with external auditors, and ensure J-SOX internal controls are executed correctly.
  • Process invoices and payments, monitor cash flow, and analyse financial data to support budgeting and cost management.
  • Collaborate with Business Control on reporting, budgeting, and process improvements, and support additional finance-related tasks as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Finance Manager should have:

  • Retail/Fashion experience massively preferred
  • Proven track record in financial reporting, compliance, and accountancy processes
  • Proven track record in financial management within the retail industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and software.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
