Job Description

  • Conduct comprehensive internal audits to assess compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and improve risk management processes and internal controls.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and provide strategic advice.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on progress.
  • Stay updated with changes in auditing standards and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff members as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Internal Auditor should have:

  • A professional qualification in accounting (e.g., CIA, IIA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in internal auditing within the Not For Profit sector or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in audit software and financial reporting tools.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
