Job Description

Provide comprehensive support to the department head
Analyse payment processes and operational workflows to identify areas for improvement.
Continuously review evolving market and technical trends to assess their potential impact on departmental processes and operations. Analyse requirements and contribute to the development of strategic roadmaps for departmental systems and related processes.
Project management responsibilities for London Branch and payments-related initiatives
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
Prepare detailed documentation and reports to support decision-making processes.
Ensure alignment of operational processes with industry regulations and standards.
Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies for operational challenges.
Support project delivery by providing insights and expertise in payments and operations
Lead project tasks and task forces to implement changes
Execution of end user training and knowledge transfer.
Monitor and evaluate implemented solutions to ensure effectiveness and sustainability and further development options
Responsibility for system documentation and authorization design of relevant payments and operations systems.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Payments and Operations Business Analyst should have:

Comprehensive knowledge of the systems Temenos TPH, SAP, Murex, SmartStream, Middleware Systems, Swift Gateways, Sanction and Transaction Monitoring solutions, including their mapped business processes, technical possibilities for a Operations and Payments department.
Proven track record in business management, projects and implementing change initiatives within financial services institutions.
Good understanding of first and second line of defence and risk
Essential: experience working within Payments and Operations departments.
Essential: experience in settlement processes for FX, Money Market, Financial Futures, Certificates of Deposit, and other Derivatives products, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of these financial instruments.
Comprehensive knowledge and solid experience with various payment schemes products
Knowledge of cross-boarder and domestic payment and transaction management, including international payment deadlines.
German language skills are considered an asset.
