Job Description

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
  • Manage and mentor a small team within the finance department to achieve performance goals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Implement and maintain effective financial controls and procedures.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimisation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Team Leader should have:

  • A strong background in accounting and finance within the manufacturing sector.
  • Qualified by experience or part-qualification in finance or accounting (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a finance team effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
