Job Description

  • Provide strategic VAT advice to a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering professional growth and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and international VAT regulations.
  • Develop and implement VAT planning strategies to optimise client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated professional services.
  • Manage client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
  • Represent the company in client meetings and industry events.
  • Stay updated on changes in VAT legislation and communicate their impact to clients.

The Successful Applicant

A successful VAT Director should have:

  • Professional qualifications in tax or accounting, such as CTA or ACA.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK and international VAT regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing client portfolios within the professional services industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client-facing roles.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and strategic planning.
