Following the success of the project, we now have exclusivity for future projects, including continuity of staffing the Vaccine Programme and locum support within the GP Surgery throughout the year.

We selected Michael Page Sales to help us because of their national coverage and knowledge of the building products sector. Their team was clearly enthused by the sustainability aspect to the project, and quickly mobilised some great candidates for us. We are seeing a lot of interest in our low carbon heating panels system as it is an ideal solution for smaller homes and multi-occupancy buildings, reducing carbon emissions by 60% when compared with conventional systems.  Ambion is scaling up to meet this requirement by bringing in new and talented salespeople in our key regional markets.

Hiring can be a nightmare, especially in a candidate-short market. When we advertised the role internally, we only had one direct applicant who was suitable - they later withdrew their application, so we were back to square one. We had received several CVs from another agency, but most weren’t at the standard we needed. After briefing the role to the Michael Page team, we received 5 CV’s within approximately 1 week. We interviewed 4 candidates and the Michael Page team provided feedback from each of the candidates to us. We were able to appoint the role to an excellent candidate. We decided to run a report after receiving feedback from potential candidates that our salaries weren’t in line with their expectations of the market. We also wanted to ensure our existing teams were being remunerated fairly, against additional feedback that we were underpaying. Whilst undergoing an internal salary review, we needed external market insights. The report the HR Advisory team provided was very useful and gave us clarity on our salary position in the market.

During what has been a period of significant transformational activity for us, which included a complete re-design and implementation of both the IT team and the IT estate, Michael Page Technology has been responsive and understanding of the pressures within our business. The IT Services team is now fully formed and I am proud to have a range of individuals whose technical knowledge, energy, and determination should support our business in achieving all of its goals in the future and will transform our technical landscape.
