Job Description

Duties and tasks of the Financial Accountant:

· Lead and support VAT, CIS and Tax advice across the group including administering the groups returns

· Interrogate and extract data from the accounting system and produce accurate financial and statistical information

· Responsible for the submission of all group tax returns whilst maintaining strong reporting controls

· Support in the implementation and maintenance of process note writing and updating internal procedures

· Leading and training of a small finance team

· Submissions of the Groups annual tax returns and liaise with advisors across the business

The Successful Applicant

Experience required:

· Experience in producing VAT returns for large complex organisation

· Exposure to standard partial exemption methods with CIS

· Knowledge / exposure of VAT and CIS reverse charges in construction

· Ability to interrogate, analyse and extract data to produce statistical information

· Working within the property, construction or housing industry is highly desirable

· Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large volumes of data
