Job Description

The key responsibilities for this Accountant role will be:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure timely submission.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the wider Accounting & Finance team on audits and compliance checks.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making within the retail business.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations relevant to the retail industry.



The Successful Applicant

The successful Accountant should have:

  • Part Qualified or working towards accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven experience in month end financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting software and tools.
  • Experience using Netsuite (preferred).
  • Knowledge of stock accounting (preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills.
