Job Description

The Accounts Payable Apprentice will:

  • Assist in processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Support in reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies onto SAP.
  • Help maintain accounts payable records and documentation for audits.
  • Provide support to the accounting team.
  • Respond to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Learn and utilise accounting software and tools effectively.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Apprentice should have:

  • Recently graduated in Accounting, Finance, or Business (e.g., AAT, Level 2/3 in Accounting, or university-level qualification)
  • Previous experience (internship or placement) in accounts payable or finance is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of accounts payable processes is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong numerical and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
