As the new Bid Writer you will be taking a lead on tender processes and developing the companies commercial proposition. You will have creating and maintaining their tended library with winning content and lead best practice in the quality of collateral and content available for bid submissions.

Job Description

  • Leading and writing pre-tender new business communications (Email; Phone; Pre-Tender executive engagement proposals; White Papers and Presentations)
  • Writing tender content that is generic covering the whole business proposition and specific segment differences
  • When needed, support the wider team on re-tender new business face to face meetings and process reviews
  • Attending trade events and networking opportunities to engage with new customers
  • Pre-Tender / Tender process, building specific customer focused propositions that are configured to meet the customer requirements ahead of any tender process or as part of the tender submission
  • Writing and leading the Tender production and support for the tender submission
  • Using competitor insights to ensure that the company proposition is highly competitive

The Successful Applicant

  • A bright, driven and motivated candidate with a love for writing and creativity
  • Previous work experience in marketing, Bid/tenders, travel, procurement - would be great!
  • If no previous bid or writing experience you will have a degree in English/Creative writing
  • An advanced writing style and the ability to answer questions in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience in working with customers and working with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate with wider teams and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong personal organisation, good interpersonal skills and comfortable in providing direction and leadership to the tender team, peer group and other colleagues
  • Highly competent in the use of Microsoft office and familiarity with publishing and/or design tools
