As Commercial Accountant your role will be split between supporting the day-to-day financial management of the Group, alongside supporting the business's decision-making process through commercial insight and ad-hoc business partnering projects.

My client are a market leading manufacturing, distribution and retail business who have experienced significant growth over recent years. Following their most recent round of investment they are planning on further global expansion whilst maintaining their excellent culture.

Job Description

· Lead data and analytics insights for Finance, building and developing on both existing and new reporting

· Lead commercial analysis on areas including sales, gross margin, promotional spend, pricing, variable costs and other ad-hoc projects

· Business partnering with cross functional teams, taking ownership of driving actions identified from commercial analysis

· Preparation of month-end management accounts for holding companies, consolidated accounts and regional accounts

· Preparation of the monthly Board pack including commentary on financial performance

· Preparation of reporting to external stakeholders (PE investors and Lenders)

· Support management of cash flow through preparation of 13 week cash flow forecast

· Support forecasting process, including ownership of the financial models and cost forecasting support

· Preparation of statutory accounts

· Lead and manage external audit process and global tax compliance, including preparation of information for external advisors

· Responsibility for ad-hoc finance projects

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA qualified or equivalent - this role would be really suitable for a 1st time mover from Practice
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel
  • Intermediate to advanced data & analytics skills (e.g. Power Query/Bi, Tableau, Alteryx)
  • Intermediate to advanced experience of Microsoft Powerpoint/Word
  • Exposure/ partnering with stakeholders (internal and external)
