Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance and value delivery.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with public sector regulations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including tendering and contract awards.
  • Provide expert advice on procurement and supply chain management practices.
  • Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand and meet their procurement needs.
  • Ensure compliance with public procurement legislation and organisational policies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Commercial Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management within the public sector.
  • Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to lead complex contract negotiations and supplier management initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for procurement challenges.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in procurement or supply chain management are advantageous.
