This role sits within a maturing but fast-evolving data office, backed by strong executive sponsorship and significant investment in data capability.Job DescriptionThis is a pivotal role responsible for driving BCBS 239-aligned data governance initiatives across the Risk and Finance domains. The successful candidate will:Lead the development and implementation of data governance frameworks aligned to BCBS 239, ensuring regulatory standards are met across Risk and Finance.Own the lifecycle of key data outputs (KDOs), from identification and classification through to control, remediation, and ongoing monitoring.Collaborate cross-functionally with senior business and technology stakeholders to drive adoption of data standards, lineage, and control frameworks.Support regulatory readiness, including ECB onboarding, through maturity assessments, gap analysis, and remediation planning.Promote strong data quality practices, including root cause analysis and resolution of material data issues.Provide thought leadership on data governance best practice and play a key role in shaping the overall data strategy.Influence and educate senior stakeholders on the importance and value of data governance, fostering a culture of accountability and transparency.The Successful ApplicantYou will bring deep subject matter expertise in data governance within the financial services sector, ideally with experience leading or supporting BCBS 239 programmes.
