Job Description

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of property fabric components.
  • Identify and address minor repairs, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of refurbishment projects.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations of facilities.
  • Manage and maintain tools and equipment required for property repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Provide support in emergency situations, including out-of-hours callouts when necessary.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Fabric Engineer should have:

  • Previous experience in property maintenance or a similar role within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Practical knowledge of building fabric repairs, including carpentry, plastering, and decorating.
  • Understanding of health and safety standards in a facilities environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
