Our client is a not-for-profit organisation with two central London offices that serve as administrative hubs and meeting spaces for staff, tenants, and partner groups. The buildings are managed to high standards of safety, accessibility, and professionalism, with a strong emphasis on community and collaboration.

Job Description

  • Support the Facilities Manager and deputise during absences.
  • Lead health and safety inductions and maintain compliance records.
  • Conduct routine inspections and manage office supplies.
  • Oversee planned preventive maintenance and supervise contractors.
  • Assist with building security, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and meeting room setups.
  • Support users with AV equipment and liaise with IT for technical issues.
  • Participate in fire alarm testing and emergency procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Facilities Support Officer should have:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent); NVQ Level 2 desirable.
  • Experience in customer-focused roles and problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Able to perform occasional physical tasks and manage confidential information.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
  • Supportive of the organisation's values and mission.
  • Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
