The company has a strong presence in the Midlands region and values innovation and excellence in its operations.Job DescriptionDevelop and implement compliance and risk management frameworks across the organisation.Monitor and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements within this sector.Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on risk-related matters.Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.Oversee the creation and delivery of compliance training programmes for staff.Manage internal audits and coordinate with external auditors where necessary.Prepare detailed reports on compliance and risk performance for the board.Lead a team to drive a culture of compliance and accountability across departments.The Successful ApplicantA successful Group Head of Compliance & Risk should have:Strong knowledge of compliance and risk management principles, ideally within a similar industry but our client is flexible.Proven ability to implement and oversee regulatory frameworks.Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.Excellent communication skills to influence and advise senior stakeholders.Leadership capabilities to manage and inspire a team effectively.Professional qualifications in compliance, risk management, or a related field are advantageous.Our client is open to receiving CVs from candidates who have a wealth of experience across Internal Audit, Risk or Governance.
