Job Description

  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the Care & Support department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial processes.
  • Conduct variance analysis to support decision-making and identify financial trends.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders within the organisation.
  • Monitor income and expenditure to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Support the implementation of financial controls and compliance processes.
  • Assist in grant and funding applications with accurate financial data.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve overall financial goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant - Care & Support should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of the Care & Support responsibilities within the Social housing sector and its financial requirements.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for financial analysis.
  • Strong analytic skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
