Job Description

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities to align with business goals.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making within the retail sector.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Support year-end audit processes, liaising with external auditors as required.
  • Monitor cash flow and implement strategies to optimise financial performance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff within the team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant - Lead should have:

  • A professional qualification or part-qualification in accounting (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in management accounting within the retail or related industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • An understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
