Job Description

  • Develop and optimise mechanical designs from concept to production stages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings and documentation in compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform calculations and simulations to validate design specifications.
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing mechanical systems and processes.
  • Provide technical support during prototyping and production phases.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all designs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to apply innovative solutions.

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet project deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
